A striking platinum, natural ruby and baguette and round brilliant diamond ‘ballerina’ cluster ring. This natural ruby ring is estimated at 2.18 carat, surmounted by an estimated 1.40 carats of kite shaped baguette diamonds with 0.60 carats of round brilliant stones. In total 2.00 carats of mixed diamonds. The ruby is a deep purplish red in colour with a number of natural inclusions.
 
This design is so called ‘ballerina’ style as the diamonds are splayed from the central ruby to resemble the tutu of a ballerina. A style very prevalent in the 1960’s this particular vintage ring probably dates from the 1990’s.
 
This piece comes with an Anchor Cert dated 11/12/2020 stating the central Ruby is of Thai/Cambodian origin and shows no signs of treatment or enhancement.
