A beautiful Victorian carved moonstone and diamond bangle. A super example of this very pretty antique design popular during the late Victorian period (1870 - 1900) as these sentimental pieces were very much in vogue at the time. The heart is unquestionably the most potent symbol of love used in all aspects of Victorian jewellery.

Comprising a double heart shaped carved moonstone motif surrounded by a diamond set bow. Two diamond set laurel leaf motifs complete the design. This is an 18 karat yellow gold hinged bangle with triple wire construction tapering to a double wire at the back of the bangle. The moonstone heart section is detachable with a brooch fitting contained in the case. The tooled leather case is original displaying a crown in the silk of the lid (from a lineage unknown to us).

In combination with hearts, moonstone “from the soul” and diamonds being forever this would be a powerful gift for a loved one or intended.
