A delightful Victorian peridot bracelet with floral carved 18 karat green, yellow and rose gold panels. Each of the six panels shows a triple rose gold flower with a yellow gold centre, surrounded by a scrolled green gold motif in the Art Nouveau style. This antique piece would have been made around 1890 in Europe. Set in claw coronet mounts, the six oval, mixed cut peridots alternate with the panels, this bracelet also has a bolt ring fastener with attached safety chain. An unusual pre-loved piece especially for a a customer looking to acquire a matching peridot piece of jewellery.

Green gold - was known to the Lydians as long ago as 860 BC under the name 'electrum', a naturally occurring alloy of silver and gold. It actually appears as greenish-yellow rather than green. Fired enamels adhere better to these alloys than to pure gold. Cadmium can also be added to gold alloys to create a green colour, but there are health concerns regarding its use, as cadmium is highly toxic. The alloy of 75% gold, 15% silver, 6% copper, and 4% cadmium yields a dark-green alloy.

Rose gold - also known as pink gold and red gold, was popular in Russia at the beginning of the nineteenth century, and was also known as Russian gold, although this term is now obsolete. Rose gold jewellery is becoming more popular in the 21st century, and is commonly used for wedding rings, bracelets, and other jewellery.
